On Saturday 25th February esteemed promotion Scandalism is hosting another disco heavy session at the impressive Scala venue, this time alongside Ecstasy, Passion and Pain which is the night run by one of the headliners, Mylo. He has curated the line-up alongside Scandalism and it includes Lindstrom, Aeroplane, Brodinski, Theme Park (Live) and many more.

First on this tasty list of talent is Mylo, the Scots man who laid down a template for the vocal tinged electro revival of the naughties with his debut album Destroy Rock & Roll.  With a sound characterised by sophisticated electro stabs, classy breaks and fat bottomed bass lines it is remarkable to learn that most of Mylo's production tools are computer internal. His music is rich, varied and well balanced and comes on labels like Brestfed, Sister Phunk and Superstar.

The second headline slot is filled by none other than nu-disco pin-up and Norwegian superstar Lindstrom who plays a very special live set.  Following a consistent flow of highly acclaimed EPs and remixes for names like Franz Ferdinand and LCD Soundsystem and The Juan Maclean, Lindstrom has released his own full length albums and runs his own Feedelity label.  The man takes his sonic cues from things like prog, disco (of course) country, rock and even gospel.. so get ready for something special indeed.

In just three years, the Italian-Belgian producer known as Aeroplane has established himself as party-starting DJ, remixer du jour with his spacious cosmic-disco re-rubs of Grace Jones (William’s Blood), Friendly Fires (Paris) and Sebastien Tellier (Kilometer) and, via his own piano-sprinkled melancholic beauties like Caramellas, has become a leader of the nu-disco and Balearica scene.

Frenchman Brondinski, meanwhile, has just mixed an impressive compilation for London club fabric in between gigs all over the world and aglut of on point, electro tinged productions for the likes of Turbo, MentalGroove and Grizzly.  Get ready, because his eclectic DJ sets may encompass noisy techno, bass heavy house or melodic minimal…

As well as all those stars, the likes of Casino Times (who recently remixed jozif to much applause) The Boogie Cartel, Kiwi, Peace (Live), Cosmonauts, Might Mouse, Theme Park (Live) will all make an appearance at the huge Scala.

Scandalism has a long and illustrious history of throwing parties that cover many bases from electro to breaks to disco and bass.  This rather large gathering could well be their best yet, so make sure you snap up your ticket early…
