On the Record... Layo & Bushwaka!

'One the Record...' is a new series we intend to bring to you each week and is one which, we hope, gives you a fresh insight into various DJs and producers from around the globe.

Music is not just about the dance floor on a Saturday - it soundtracks every part of our lives from the highest highs to the darkest lows. By asking artists to document their life in records, we aim to allow you to to see into their soul in a pure, uncontaminated way. Straight Q&As are often plagued by a number of things (apathy, language barriers, time constraints, hype, pretense etc) whereby the choice of a record is not.

We start with long time house mainstays aLayo & Bushwacka! The pair have a new EP out April 12th called 'Femme Fatale' and are set to DJ at Shake It on April 1st alongside Carl Cox. The party takes place at The Warehouse in London and further info is available at shakeitlondon.com
